Todd Stitzer The Man Behind Cadbury Adams

Todd Stitzer was appointed Chief Executive of Cadbury in 2003.  He has extensive experience in marketing, sales, strategy and general management.  The 57 year old has held positions in the law department of the firm in 1983 as Cadbury’s assistant general counsel.

Cadbury Adams is the manufacture of such great products as Chiclets, Dentyne and Trident chewing gum. Stride gum is also excellent. Swedish fish are a great candy along with the sour patch line. Certs mints are also very popular.
Stitzer grew up in a modest family environment.  His father worked for the YMCA and his mother was a nurse.  He worked his way up the executive ladder at Cadbury and knows the company inside out.  His father is credited with instilling his hard work effort in him.
The CEO is a Harvard graduate and paid his own way working part time jobs as a tennis coach and a cook.  He is a competitive athlete with a hard work ethic.  He started in industry as a M&A specialist with Cadbury as a client.  Eventually Cadbury hired him and that is how he came into the candy business.
After a stint working law he eventually went into sales and marketing.  His intelligence, people skills and hard work eventually got him into the board room.  This was quite an accomplishment for an individual who had no candy experience.  As CEO Stitzer has significant experience in M&A.  Prior to the Kraft deal he was responsible for the acquisition of Adams, the company behind Dentyne and Trident.
